Your chance to get involved in the new Moore movie

|

BmooreA new feature-length documentary on the life of Bobby Moore – the man Pele called the World’s greatest defender – has gone into full production.

And Hammers fans have an incredible opportunity to be involved in its making.

The film is scheduled to be the subject of a nationwide release in the summer of 2016 to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of England’s solitary World Cup victory.

During production, West Ham fans will have the chance to take part in the filming. Details of the number of roles available, timings, and how you go about getting involved, will be released at a later date.

BO66Y is fully supported by the Football Association and a share of all profits will go to the Bobby Moore Fund for research into bowel cancer.

BO66Y is produced by sports journalist and broadcaster, Matthew Lorenzo, and directed by fellow award-winner Ron Scalpello (Pressure, Offender). Already in the can are exclusive interviews with Wayne Rooney, Roy Hodgson, Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Paul Gascoigne, Frank Lampard (Jnr and Snr), Harry Redknapp, George Cohen, Gordon Banks, Norman Hunter and Russell Brand.Bobby

The film transcends football. It tells the extraordinary story of a man, who has yet to be properly honoured by his country. Produced with full cooperation from the Moore family, the documentary charts Bobby’s extraordinary career and examines the many battles he faced on and off the pitch.

Lorenzo grew up with Bobby. His journalist father, Peter, enjoyed a close friendship with him from his schoolboy days at West Ham – and went on to organise the England skipper’s testimonial.

“Bobby Moore is a forgotten hero: there are people who still love him, but he’s been lost from popular culture and that’s why I want to make this film -to celebrate his life with the people who love him most,” said Lorenzo.

“We want to invite the fans to be a part of this historic film. With their help, we’ll be able to do his story justice and make the film part of the legacy he truly deserves”.
