I started reading a story 10 minutes ago from a site claiming that a Hammer has just agreed a new deal with the club behind the scenes!
It appeared here £19m West Ham player has actually signed a new contract without anyone knowing (tbrfootball.com)
Given there are contract talks going on with various players at the moment I though maybe I was about to discover something we had missed over the last few days so my eyebrows went up in interest.
Unbelievably, it was yet another example of the sloppy reporting which goes on around the various Irons sites of which there may just be a few too many. Ok, I’m perfectly ready for the rude remarks!
It turned out to be yet another report claiming that Tomas Soucek had put pen to paper weeks after we first reported it here on August 10 Hammer Soucek signs new deal – West Ham News: (claretandhugh.info).
