Big incentive for Irons at the Bridge

|

Arsenal handed the Irons a chance of catapulting over Manchester United with a 3-1 win over the Old Trafford team at lunchtime.

It’s a big call but the Irons can vault into sixth place again should they put it across Chelsea when the two sides clash at Stamford Bridge tomorrow {sun}

The Gooners were helped by a missed penalty from Fernandes who managed to roll the spot kick against a post with the team 2-1 up. after Tavares had scored on three minutes following errors from Raphael Varane and Alex Telles.

 Saka converted from the spot and Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back before the north London club capitalised on the missed penalty when Xhaka lashed home the Gunners’ third from 25 yards with 20 minutes remaining.

It leaves Manchester United two points in front of us having played a game more whilst having a seven goal inferior goal difference.

Wolves sit three points behind us and meet Burnley at Turf Moor tomorrow with fifth placed Spurs meeting Brentford at 5..30.
