Big vote of confidence in ‘powerful’ Hammer

Tony Cascarino has often been one of the most critical pundits around but despite his often barbed comments towards certain Hammers he is onside with Michail Antonio.

The 29 year old has clearly been in decent form over recent weeks and looked particularly dangerous again over recent games.

He appears to have now shaken off a few possible doubts over his future at the club and is likely to be in the side again for the match against Spurs at lunchtime.

A fine headed goal and some real powerful running is set to be required this afternoon and Cascarino clearly believes that at his best he is a player of terrific potential.

It’s really good to see the midfielder/striker returning to his best as the season reaches it’s last lap and we can see no reason at all to believe that Michail won’t be around offering more of the same next season.

Cascarino – speaking on talkSPORT – said: “West Ham have got some good players in there. Michail Antonio coming in. I like him, I think he’s always direct and a powerhouse. He can cause problems.”

Spot on, Antonio should play up top with Arnie, their combined pace, power and goals would cause any defence problems, just need the manager to see that.

Back to his best!!! I hope we don’t hear any more rumours about him being sold as he’s not ‘technical’ enough – he has pace, power, penetration and heart. Love the video on the official club site of Anderson and him playing footie in the back garden, too …
