Bilic clears up Payet issue

|

slavandpayetWest Ham have no intention of selling Dimi Payet this month and Slaven Bilic has warned broadcasters not to read anything into his tactical decision to replace him.

Payet was brought off during the game against Manchester United in the 69th minute to be replaced by Andy Carroll but the manager said there was nothing significant in the move from a Payet perspective.

It came after morning reports that Marseilles are preparing a £30 million plus for the Hammers playmaker but there is no question in Bilic’s mind that he will be going anywhere.

He said: ““Dimi is our best player, but we played a couple of days ago and the way he is playing in the game the position he is playing where he needs to go up and down, it drains you, so his substitution was tactical.

West Ham are back in action when they host Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup third round.

Wouldn’t exactly claim him to be our best player , Slaven .
Lanzini & Antonio put in a far bigger shift than him against Man Utd . In fact ! Payet looked uninterested and lethargic . Almost as if he is waiting for the big pay day he doesn’t really deserve . Don’t want to see him leave but , he definitely needs to wake up and put more effort into his game . To say he did nothing and was lazy would be taking it to the extreme but he didn’t exactly give it 100% either .
