Bitter Kudus blow for the Hammers

Mohammed Kudus is set to miss the match against Brighton representing a bitter blow for the Hammers.

It seems that former Hammer Chris Hughton – now manager of his international team Ghana – is insisting that he is left out of the squad in order not to risk injury for the Afcon tournament which starts on January 13. Nayef Aguerd also likely to be unavailable, which will leave us short of options at front and back.

It seems a ludicrous state of affairs that clubs can be dictated to in such a way but it has been confirmed by a key source at the club that this is the case. It may also indicate why Aguerd has been unavailable for recent games given that backroom sources have been telling Claret and Hugh that he is preparing for Afcon after the bout of sickness which has affected him and other members of the  squad.

It also means that with Lucas Paqueta admitting he is set to miss the game with a  calf injury we will be short of three top players as we seek a double over a former bogey team whom we beat early on in the season.

Possible Hammers line up: Areola, Coufal, Oggy, Zouma, Emerson; Alvarez, Soucek, Ward-Prowse, Fornals, Cornet, Bowen.

A huge loss but Moyes has been rotating his squad all season like the good manager he is !!!!! If we want to achieve what we want this season rotation is key. Lets see how the squad reacts to this, if i was a player left on the bench all season i dont know if i would be motivated to play for Moyes, for my friends and fellow players perhaps. Good managers dont make any excuses but we wil hear them all from Moyes if things start to go wrong, will start talking about all the success we have had under his management, and he will deflect all the negative attention from himself. People were losing the run of themselves after a great win the other night, need to give him a contract extension etc !!!. We had 25% of possession against Arsenal, they should have scored 4 or 5 and i hope you all remember he nearly got us relegated last season. Thats not development in anyone’s language.

What would happen if we just ignore it ? Can FIFA sanction us for playing our player in a legitimate game?
Strange too that Houghton was Brighton manager once !

Ridiculous I agree but we must react – Moyes if you don’t give Mubama any minutes now when will you? Cornet not played also, and young Marshall must be eyeing it up. Other clubs are playing young players now, look at Cole at Chelsea, time for our manager to do the biz.
