Bowen call-up

|

By Hughie Southon

West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen has finally been recalled into the England squad.

Our No 20 could take part in either of two games at Wembley later this month.

The Three Lions face  Australia in an international friendly on Friday 13 October  and/or Italy in a 2024 UEFA Euro qualifier on Tuesday 17 October.

It’s a well deserved call up for our main man who has found the net five times in seven Premier League games this season – four of them coming in away games.

He finds himself recalled to the Three Lions squad for the first time since 2022 having so far  received four caps following his debut against Hungary.

He followed up in UEFA Nations League games against Germany, Italy and the second fixture against Hungary. He will also be looking for his first goal in an England shirt  having managed to find so regularly for the Irons.

Meanwhile, talks over a new contract preoccupy the minds of most Hammers supporters.
