Bruce may be set to park the bus

|

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has dropped a heavy hint that he may be set to ‘park the bus’ at Upton Park tonight.

The Tigers manager gave  Sone Aluko a role behind strikers Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long, Bruce which helped the team to beat West Brom 2-0 at the weekend.

But that was a home game and Bruce is faced with a different situation at The Boleyn declaring: ” We were at home against a team below us and we have to win the match. How do I devise a system that can get all three of them in?

“I have to say, away from home in the Premier League, it might be a little adventurous. Whether the system worked, I’m not quite sure but we won the match.

“It’s something I’ve got in my mind to try to do. The one thing we’ve been able to do is be flexible.

“I sprung it on them on Saturday morning but there wasn’t too much disruption. It’s food for thought.”

According to the Hull Daily Mail Bruce is likely to revert back to a system which would see  Maynor Figueroa return to the  defence at left-back, enabling Liam Rosenior to switch flanks and push Ahmed Elmohamady into midfield.
