The Daily Mail say West Ham face a battle holding onto Reece Burke as Manchester City and Southampton both target the highly-rated young defender.
The paper claims the Hammers will facing a fight to keep the highly-rated youngster saying a host of Premier League clubs are plotting moves for the Hammers Academy graduate.
It adds Newcastle have also shown a firm interest in the talented 19-year-old.
Burke signed up with agent Mark Curtis towards the end of Sam Allardyce’s final season at the club. Unsurprisingly there are no quotes from him or anybody else to back up the claims in what is a shamelessly speculative piece!
Maybe bored with linking Reece Oxford with a move away the media appear to have turned turned their attentions to another West Ham star in the making. Agent activity is not ruled out.
Reece Oxford spoilt The Sun’s fun by laughing at suggestions he was asking for £40,000 calling them fake. In the modern world at least players have the right to reply quickly to dispel rumours on social media.
Soon they will be saying JOB is wanted by Barca.
Why would he want to join those loosers,he is learning his trade and picked up sheds loads of trophys last term, with Ginge running out of playing time one more year learning and he will be in our first team squad and playing for the top team in London,
End of rumours
Next Hendrie and Henry, then Samulsun and Cullen,
We will have to get used to this now with more young talent heading our way and having such a strong squad
I reckon Henry & Hendry will be out the door this summer bubs. There is no way I can see Burke going anywhere permanently,he was ment to have been the real deal at Bradford.Ok it’s only league one but I think he is going to develop into a really good defender 😉
Its possible we might loan him and or Oxford to Newcastle, with Rafa in charge and a culling of the old guard, there is a good chance they could get a full season under their belts in the championship which would be good for us, hopefully they can get some game time in the Europa league but if not a move to Newcastle wouldn’t be that bad.
