Sam Byram is ready to be included in the team for the FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The right sided defender – who has only appeared three times this season – all in League Cup matches – has been sidelined since October but is now fully recovered.
He played an hour for the under 23s in the tough encounter against Leicester City’s under 23s last week and came through with no problems or reaction.
Under 23s boss Terry Westley told ClaretandHugh: “He is fit and available in the manager’s squad – he came through the game really well.”
David Moyes may also be able to call on Rerce Oxford which will give him his first look at the player since his return to West Ham from Germany.
We understand the 19 year old is now recovered after hurting his foot in a training ground accident and looks all set to take his place in the team.
Reece Burke and Josh Cullen will also be included in the squad giving the manager to make a decision on whether they stay at the club or return to Bolton on loan.
I suppose Ayew and Hernandes will play up front. If he has to bring on Martinez, I hope he brings on Samulesen at the same time, because they are best friends and work well together.
Rice was rested Saturday so he will be raring to go.
Or he could go for a strong team with Arnie and Lanzini playing.
I hope Arnie And Lanzini play, this would be my 11, Hart, Cresswell, Oxford, Burke, Byram, Lanzini, Cullen, Rice, Samuelson, Arnie And Hernandez. Have a really strong Bench in case things arenโt going well COYI!!
That’s adventurous ! Would be exciting if it works.
Yeah quite a daring line up especially as most haven’t played together for a while ๐
Manu, ohh. Arnie Arnie, Michail Antonio, Ginger Pele, Adrian in goal!
(see what I did there, plagiarism is the best form of flattery) ๐
Can somebody get Collins to sing this instead of that Kopite ditty? Please share!
Think Ox needs to play so Moyes can see him & see if has plans for him or decides he should go back on loan .
Doubt start Arnie & Lanzini but like to see Sameulsen play for creativity
