Capital One Cup Blog: Tottenham v West Ham LIVE!

|

The Irons will tonight be hoping to hand caretaker boss  Tim Sherwood and his Spurs the sort of devastating humiliation  they inflicted on them in front of their own White Hart lane fans during that unforgettable 3-0  Premier League drubbing back in October.

Sam Allardyce and his team have managed only  one win in the last seven games in all competitions but earlier victories over Cardiff City and Burnley means the Irons can tonight reach the semi-finals if they can overcome the north Londoners.

The last time they managed that in the competition was back in 2011 when they were knocked out by Birmingham City.

Spurs are in a dishevelled state following the sacking of  Andre Villas-Boas and with Sherwood taking over for the meantime, the opportunity is there for the Hammers  even via what looks likely to be a much changed team!

However despite the team supplying only one goal in the last three league games, Allardyce will be hoping to provide an entertaining performance for the fans travelling from the East End.
