No more Nuno Espirito Santo as the revolving door at West Ham spins once more: The first starting eleven of the Scotty Parker era has been announced for the tough away game at Cardiff City.
Without actually taking – or even observing – training sessions it is arguable how much influence Parker will have had on the line up tonight but there are signs that the Hammers players post-Nuno will all be starting with a clean slate as far as their new manager is concerned, judging from the starting line up tonight.
Gone are the days of the ‘out of favour’ players which West Ham paid but Nuno ignored.
Check out the line up which has just been announced for this evening’s 7.45 pm kick off, which includes the first start this season for Soungoutou Magassa as a defensive midfielder: Whether the side will set up in a traditional ‘Scott Parker’ style as a 4-2-3-1 formation – we’ll just have to wait and see:
West Ham United:
Hermansen | Veltman, Mavropanos, Kilman, Morato | Magassa, Engels, | Mukasa, Bowen, Solomon | Castellanos

We will be back with player ratings and first impressions after the final whistle: Hammers Chat’s build up show and watch along will, as always, give those of you unable to find a streaming if the game – which isn’t live in the UK – a chance to keep up with the action and the score. EDIT: My bad, it’s on Sky apparently! Excellent. COYI!
Interesting team, good to see Magassa back from the cold, should hopefully see a bit more bite to the midfield.
Need Taty to start firing ⚒️
Nice to see Magassa on the pitch. A real filip for the lad given how things went, first over Summer then with NES. Reassuring for everyone to see some sensible behaviour.
Thought there would be more changes in the starting line-up, but nice to see them put in a defensive midfielder.
COYI.
Looks good to me, I’m a lot more optimistic now and will run with a 2-1 win. Magassa in should add defensively and allow Engels freer reign. No sign of Pablo.
Disappointed to see Hermansen in goal and no Austbo
No doubt he’ll give Magassa a chance till he realises he’s useless then Kanté will be back in.
Loving the optimism…
Austbo and Kante are unlucky to lose their places, strange that Pablo misses out altogether
Think you’ll find the game is live on Sky tonight
been too busy TBH, good, thanks for the correction, glad everyone gets a chance to watch
It is live on Sky sports channel
