Chas to walk around London Stadium to raise funds

|

KUMB moderator Romford better known as Chas Chandler to many will be walking around the London Stadium pitch to raise money for the Saint Francis Hospice.

Chas is seriously ill at the moment and underwent an operation earlier this year and is continuing treatment. He has been responsible for helping numerous West Ham supporters over the years, quite apart from sorting out the logistics of away match travel and, of course, his legendary boat trips.

Stadium owners have given permission and Chas will be joined on the walk by Bill Gardner and his son Luke Chandler

Founder of Irons Supporting Foodbanks JohnRatomski contacted Claret and Hugh yesterday to say “He’s a bit better now. Something that Chas has wanted to do is to try and walk a few laps of the London Stadium pitch. We’ve finally arranged for it to happen this week, with his son and Bill Gardner. Bill will be bringing the Dennis flag. Chas is keen to make the walk memorable and worthwhile for others to benefit so the family has asked if his friends could support his efforts by making a donation to the Saint Francis Hospice in Romford (https://www.sfh.org.uk/donate)  This is also where Dennis Lepine was cared for.”
