It’s a topsy turvy Premier League season with some of the weirdest results we’ve ever seen.
Leicester City beat Manchester City 5-2 at the end of September while new boys Leeds United held the former Premier League champions 1-1 at the beginning of October.
Manchester City sit in the wrong half of the Premier League table in eleventh place two places behind West Ham in ninth place
Current Premier League champions Liverpool were beaten 7-2 by Aston Villa at the beginning of October and were held by Everton 2-2 last week.
The champions sit third place with Everton on top spot and Aston Villa in unlikely second place.
After two wins and a draw and ten West Ham goals, the Hammers are brimming with confidence and can beat anyone in the league.
There was a time when we would write off the next two games as free hits or damage limitation exercises to preserve our goal difference but there is a new confidence around West Ham.
Roll-on Saturday and bring on the City!
Come on you Irons!
Lol, everyone seems to have forgotten the first 82 mins. Spurs.
First 20 minutes you mean. After that we were the better team.
Yeah, West Ham are going to take 6 points off Citeh & Scallypool….
In January. they’ll be signing Koulibaly, Jordi Alba and Mbappe …
I like this game, what’s it called..?
We should keep our feet on the ground, pride comes before a fall, we are playing well on the back of working hard and competing, Liverpool and City on paper have better individual players than we do, we have to be the better team, am genuinely looking forward to seeing what we can do Saturday morning COYI !!!
Not pride at all – just a bit of joy for once. Join in 32
Hugh, how dare you be optimistic or show faith in your team?
Lol Hugh, I will try, I defintely was at the weekend, I think I have walked this path too many times, will be the resident Moyesiah if you like and under promise 😀
Let’s not get too carried away please.
If the owners have been asked to promise less, as fan we need to expect less sometimes. This is all a work in progress still.
Yeah let’s get carried away for once. Why not – been let down before – used to it
Hopefully we’ll adopt the strategy we had against Leicester where we were tight at the back and relied on a fast counter, rather than pushing everyone up like we did at Spurs; leaving a threadbare rearguard for Sterling, Aguero and Silva to dance round. COYI!
Been here before; let’s not get carried away! But I’m very happy to be proven wrong!
11 West ham goals
Sorry just read it again now I get what you mean by ten West ham goals. My bad 😳
Hugh, how dare you be optimistic or show faith in your team?
SEAN’S PIECE 66 but I agree with him . Bloody shocking eh?
I’d be happy if we got zero points from these games but played well and showed some more of the spirit Moyes has instilled into the team. But at the same time there is certainly cause for optimism based on recent performances.
Reading through this site everyday i notice the many contributors to the forums who post regularly but i also notice when things are going well for us, those who constantly post GSB Out or who predict relegation if we don’t spend £25m plus on a defender or those who disagree with the site owners or doom-monger because we sell a player, are conspicuous through their absence. Isn’t it sad that you only hear from those ‘fans’ when there is something negative to say?
Onwards and upwards, an exciting season is in our midst!
