Claret and Hugh exclusive: Big Zouma update

|

Kurt Zouma has tonight been told he has a chance of returning to the West Ham first team before the end of the season.

There had been fears that his twisted ankle which saw him leave the action at Selhurst Park after 19 minutes on Saturday could see him out of the remaining Hammers fixtures.

But whilst the scan he had today was not great the club medics believe he could still play a part in our campaign given he has shown himself to be a quick healer in the past.

The former Chelsea central defender has been something of a regular in our treatment room this season and it looked the same way again as he left Palace wearing a surgical boot.

And tonight Claret and Hugh’s top source – speaking to us exclusively – said: “It’s not a break, but severe ligament damage and the ankle is  still badly swollen.

“With most players the season would be over  but there is a small chance he’ll be back as he has a huge desire to play and his body repairs quicker than most players.”

By heavens we need the big man on the back line! City next, so obviously no points there but one more win should be enough to keep us in the premiership.
