Collison may be Wigan-bound

West Ham midfielder Jack Collison looks to be headed to Wigan on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The FA Cup semi finalists are understood to be in advanced talks with the Irons with Sam Allardyce set to agree to a switch.

And the Wales international is eligible to feature in the Wembley showdown against Arsenal next month.

Latics boss Uwe Rosler sees Collison as a perfect addition as he bids to boost his squad options ahead of their tilt at FA Cup glory and a Premier League return of the season.

The news will interest Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as he gears up for the semi-final clash against Rosler’s men.

Collison has not played an FA Cup match this season meaning he could be used at Wembley.

The 25-year-old has made 19 appearances for Allardyce’s men this season and the news comes following ClaretandHugh’s revelation over the weekend  that Jack  is one of those summer out of contract players who will be allowed to move on.

Thus the move to Wigan could easily mean we have seen the midfielder in a Hammers shirt for the last time.
