Confused Adrian has no answers

Adrian+West+Ham+United+v+Newcastle+United+Jw1KJTafoV5lAdrian has admitted the Irons were again “sleeping” during the opening of the Sunderland game.

And given this is the fifth time in nine games we have trailed you would have thought by now someone might have worked out why.

But talking to London 24, the keeper admits he has no idea why the team are starting so slowly and badly declaring: “If I knew I would tell you now. The mentality has to be to go for it from the start, not waiting for the other team to start playing.

“On the first-half performance we deserve nothing but to lose and in the last few games we have been the same – we need to start games well.”

“I think the second goal was a great strike from the player. The first one I didn’t really have time to save it. But after we scored our first goal, they had to change their mentality and after going two down it was a good point for us – a good game and a good point.”

He insisted though: “It is a good start. We always need to work on things, like starting well, but we are scoring goals and winning games and that has to be a good start. Now we need to keep it going.”

just imagine how many goals we could score if we could get hold of the ball a bit more often.

And imagine how many fewer goals we would concede if we didn’t keep giving the ball away to the opposition in the wrong areas.

    Oh for a perfect world,
If our keeper stop letting early goals are defenders Defend our Captain passes to his own side,
We would be top of the league,
But we are entertaining the fans getting points without being boring, and learning slowly every week,
