Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claims his team were unlucky to lose to West Ham on Wednesday night.
‘The performance was good because we knew they would play a strong game, but I think we played with a good intensity and created many chances to score a goal,’ said Conte. ‘I saw a good spirit in my players because until the end they tried to change the result. Tonight we were a bit unlucky.’
‘I think we didn’t expect the second goal so early and that changed our plan. Then we tried to change the situation by putting on fresh players. We created many chances to score and only did it at the end of the match. When you lose it’s normal to see bad things but tonight I found a lot of positives. Usually you learn more after a defeat than a win but we must continue to work.”
They were a bit unlucky, they missed quite a lot of opportunities and they could of been given a couple of penalties.
I think he should have said Chelsea were lucky, they had a ref that awarded nearly every decision their way, should have given us two blatant penalties and we should have with better finishing put at least another two chances away from open play 🙂
I saw a positive we didn’t buy Batshuayi.
We should have been out of sight by then,we totally dominated for 80 mins,no positive spin for your centre backs either,Antonio and Fernandes made them spin.COYI
