Slav refuses to discuss London Stadium troubles

|

BilicSlaven Bilic refused to discuss the troubles at the London Stadium this morning at his press conference  ahead of the Hammers game against Everton on Sunday.

Slave told reporters “I have said enough about the Stadium. I want to talk about football and about the game. I am a football manager.”

Talking about the game on Sunday at Everton Slav said “It’s a big game, of course. We played a very demanding game on Wednesday night physically and psychologically. We have a few knocks and all that, but nothing bad, so all those who played should all be fit and available for Sunday. Ayew is very close to being able to start. He had a long break. It’s great to have him back. He came on and did really good.”

“We are playing good at the moment. We have to build on those 3 wins. They have given us confidence. We changed the system a bit. OK, it’s important, especially when the results come, but it’s more about the players’ movement. Kouyate helped to stabilise the defence and also helps us to create from the back.”

Speaking about the previous game at Goodison Park Slav added:  “It was a strange game. We were 2-0 down, they had a penalty which Adrian saved and we came back to win 3-2.  remember that even when we were 1-0 or 2-0 down, we were always there, creating chances and hurting them in their own half.”

I’d be happy with a draw normally, and realistically you should be,they are a very organized team, don’t concede many and have one or two goal threats
If we can carry that sort of energetic, never say die attitude we have seen of late we have a real chance of coming away with.something. This is a watershed game for me.
If we win then we will know we have turned the corner, for real.COYI
