Cresswell claims “it wasn’t meant to be”

|

cressieAaron Cresswell is disappointed the Irons couldn’t pluck victory from the jaws of defeat after a fine fightback at Sunderland.

The left back claimed after the game: “I think we could have got the victory at the end of the game. We went two goals down and we know the first half simply wasn’t good enough.

Speaking to www.whufc.com he said: “It has happened to us a couple of times but we knew it was going to be tough coming to Sunderland with what is happening there at the moment.”

He added that the lads knew Slaven Bilic was going to be unhappy with the team at half time adding:”All though credit for the way we came out fighting in the second half.

“They were reduced to ten-men for the last 35 minutes and it was a bit of a disappointing end as you would have fancied us to get the three points, but it wasn’t meant to be.

“It was frustrating and they were always going to drop off and defend their 18-yard box which they did and we couldn’t get the goal to go on and win the game.”

Ummm – the question should be – why don’t West Ham start playing until the second half of games?

He’s right though it isn’t good enough – West Ham are obviously in a false position, if they don’t buck up they’ll start slipping down the table fast!

A couple of times? A few times Aaron come on let’s be honest. But this time the individual error was not yours or nobles but was due to a sloppy pass from dmitri Payet. But because he is not a homegrown player and because he is such a great footballer most of the time, nobody is going to mention it or even pick him up for it. Apart from me that is. Ha ha.

Yeah but on a ratio of good to bad , you can’t knock Dimi.
