Czech mate for Moyes is good news for Tottenham

Coufal horror show is good news for Tottenham

David Moyes has a big decision to make ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League game against Spurs. While much of the West Ham news has focused on VAR and David Moyes in recent days, the display of Vladimir Coufal was a huge concern.

Not only did the Hammers’ right-back struggle against Antony Gordon in West Ham’s defeat to Newcastle, but he also made a complete hash of marking Gordon’s left-wing replacement, Harvey Barnes, who scored a brace.

The bad news for Coufal is that Tottenham will have the electric-heeled Timo Werner up against him at the London Stadium. Whilst Werner has been a bit of a comedy figure during his time at Chelsea, Ange Postecoglou has him playing well for Spurs.

Our Czech right-back had been in decent form up until Saturday’s trip to St James’ Park. However, I would not blame Moyes at all if he decided to swap things around and use Ben Johnson instead.
