David Gold predicts Saturday’s score against Saints

|

West Ham joint Chairman David Gold has insisted that Manuel Pellegrini will field a strong West Ham side on Saturday against Southampton even predicting a scoreline of 2-1 in a humorous caption of a photo of himself with the Chilean manager.

Gold wrote on Twitter this evening: “Manuel Pellegrini will have the the strongest squad of players this season available to him for the match against Southampton.
Good luck Manuel. dg “So we are agreed the score will be 2-1”

Bookies Bet 365 are offering odds of 9/1 on that scoreline.

Other captions suggested the Chairman and manager were playing a game of rock, paper, scissors.

West Ham currently sits in 11th place on 46 points with 8th place still in reach although that would need wins against Southampton and Watford.

Watford and Everton sit in 9th and 10th positions on 50 points with Leicester City in 8th place on 51 points.

Everton faces Burnley tonight and Spurs next week.

Watford faces Chelsea away on Sunday then West Ham 5 days before their FA Cup final with Manchester City

Leicester City faces Manchester City away next Monday then Chelsea at home.
