DG explains why he’s sure we’ll beat Foxes

|

Gold arms up in airExclusive

David Gold is totally convinced the Irons will put it across Leicester City in the east midlands tomorrow (Sun).

The co chairman reckons we are ideally placed to take advantage of any nervousness they are suffering after a string of hard fought victories.

The Foxes have had four single goal successes in the last five and until last week’s game against Sunderland certainly didn’t look at their free-flowing best.

And DG believes that all the pressure is on them and expects us to carry the game to them as we look for a Euro placing at the end of the season.

Speaking exclusively to CandH he said: “I’ve been looking forward to this fixture for a long time.  There are very good reasons for my confidence because I really do think we can go there and beat them.

“ONE: Our away form against the top sides is outstanding

“TWO: On our day we have shown we are as good and better than any team in the league

“THREE: We are hurting. The lads feel a keen sense of injustice at even having to go through the Manchester United FA Cup replay and we someone has to pay – Leicester City!”

Gold added: “They are an excellent team on their day but we have the sort of game plan that can upset them. I really am believing for a win up there.”

Well we’d better if this season is to anything other than just OK. If Leicester ‘s manager is correct that no one remembers who was runner up, then it’s a stone certainty no one remembers who came in at just a squeak above mid table

    • StanThe Man says:

Yeah it will be a terrible season if we finish a squeek above mid-table.Scandalous.**** me some of you are so demanding.Think where we were 12 months ago & take a dose of reality tablet.

  • SarfHammer says:

I think this season is already much better than just OK! personally at the start of the season I would have been happy with 10th so I have seen my expectations exceeded.
We have a fantastic Manager who seems to really love the Club and who has said he is concerned about us progressing too quickly so I will just leave it to him coz I think he understands…
As for a squeak above mid table really? do you think 9th? although we played poorly for the first hour against Man U how often has that happened this season? We have only lost 6 league ganes all season!
i do have a very good feeling about tomorrow and think we will do them 2-1
    COYI!!

After all the Low expectations we are now in for a shout of the top 4 … If it wasn’t for some dire and seriously poor referees and many injuries we could now be sitting in 3rd … So to think I would be happy with 10th is bordering on the rediculous .. We lost to ManUtd in the cup because we got it wrong on the same day that Van Gall decided to listen to the Fans . .. If it wasn’t for Man Utd’s fans objecting to his tactics West Ham would have won ..
So now we have the cowardly Aston Villa letting Man Utd grab all 3 points when all they had to do as a last man stand was not lose . …
I think ( like Dave Gold ) we can beat Leicester City tomorrow and I can’t think of any reason why we shouldn’t .,,, referees considered . Leicester City will be nervous because it is a chance to win the league on a home game ,, but we shall rise to the occasion and upset the odd’s … Top 4 is still possible with a win over Leicester followed by a win against the
Manks ….. As for the TV Pundit’s ,,,, well Harry , I’m not HP .

Another issue is Hodgsons admission that AC will not be called up for England unless injury requires it ,,,, WTF is that .. He should have been called up for the last World Cup when A striker
Was needed that would add another dimension to England’s game ,, but no plan B means no preparation for a game change ,, and so , no AC …
It’s the same as now ,,, only one style and if it doesn’t work we are Out just as soon as the morning flight . .. I would personally love to see a few West Ham players in England squad .
We ain’t never gonna win the World Cup without them … OBVIOUSLY .
If AC is suddenly called upon West Ham should declare him unfit .,,, purely because Hodgson has ignored The Hammers with a passion .

  • Roman says:

I might be a mug but feel we should start Valencia up front with Emineke. He hasn’t been our worst performer.I would use Carroll as an impact sub.We are too predictable with AC as the front man in my humble opinion.

  • slaven a laugh says:

we are less predictable with ac coz we can attack on all fronts payet lanzini antonio ac. the more ways of attacking and scaring defences the better. with ac we can mix it up a bit
