DG sends Hodgson a Hammers invitation

|

David-GoldDavid God has made it clear that Mark Noble, Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio have all well and truly stamped out their England claims this season.

Whether Roy Hodgson chooses to include any or all of them in his next squad later this month is one thing but Gold has no doubt that they should all be under his microscope.

West Ham fans have in the main given up of the England boss giving Noble a call despite his outstanding form this season but Gold has little doubt he could do a job at international level.

HODGSON_1500480aSpeaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh he said: “I like Roy and would far sooner have an Englishman running our national team than a foreigner – that has never felt right.

“Now I would urge him to home and look at at West Ham – those three Englishmen in particular are doing brilliantly for us. Mark is in the form of his life and must surely have a chance.

“For me Aaron should be in the squad – he has been brilliant and there can’t be many, if any, better than him. I have my fingers crossed for the lad.

“And Michail has had a wonderful season. He is totally fearless and would not be in the last bit fazed by an international call up.

“Whether he’s playing for Tooting and Mitcham or England, it all comes the same to him – he has fantastic ability and attitude.”

Well said David, doesn’t Roy understand that England never win anything unless there are 3 West Ham players in the team ala 1966 MOORE / HURST & PETERS.
Come on Roy pick em and you will win the Euros.

And Andy Carroll, when fit he is trouble for any defence and he proved that on Saturday. He came on was involved for 2 goals and was nearly on the end of the other.

I think that if Antonio played for the Gooners or the other unmentionable scum from North London, he would certainly have received more plaudits for his exploits than he has. And no doubt about it, he would have been more lauded than say, Delle Alli.

He can terrorise defences at the Euros with his pace, power and guile, and bang in goals. But as with Payet, I would rather he didn’t go to the Euros and showcase his talents least we end up receiving offers we cant resist.

And for the record, I once wrote on here that he runs around the field like a headless chicken. I’m so so happy he has proved me wrong.

You need to have been an ex Liverpoor player under Woy to have a real chance,
He won’t be bringing any new faces from now on he might play them in friendlies but they won’t make his final squad even none playing gooners will get the nod before any of ours
Let our boys have a holiday come back fresh for next season and wait to see who takes Woy,s job next

  • winslow says:

He’s just said on talksport that he won’t pick players just because they are on form so that pretty much rules out any of our English players…

  • bubs says:

No why would you pick players on form that’s just stupid, better to pick a forward who can’t score goals or a defender who can’t tackle,
Woy is loyal as an ex Liverpoor manager he will stick to his son Milner or Henderson
Sterling and Sturridge will get picked the Gooners will get at least 4 places,
The dandruff kid will play in goal even if Pep does not rate him,Vardy might get a squad place but Kane and Rooney will start if fit,
Some Leopards can’t change their spots,
Another big Championship another early exit best get your Red Scarf out and Cheer Ginge on,

Spot on DG…especially Antonio: Anywhere, any time, give him a job, and he’ll do it…end of!

  • mooro66uk says:

How can any manager that wants credibility possibly say that. The whole criteria for picking a team is current form. Please tell me this is a misquote. If not the silly old codger has made himself a laughing stock. Again.
