|

Grady Diangana has received a massive vote of confidence with over 48% of supporters in a snap poll saying he is the man to replace the injured Yarmolenko in Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Robert Snodgrass was voted second with 25.5% of the supporter vote followed by Michail Antonio on 12%.

Javier Hernandez 8% Andy Carroll 2.5% Jack Wilshere 2% and Lucas Perez 1% completed the Claret and Hugh poll results.

The 20 year old West Ham Academy product joined the youth system at age 12 after moving to London from Democratic republic of Congo with his family at the age of 4.

Diangana made his first team debut less than a month ago when he started in the EFL Cup against Macclesfield Town, playing the full game and scoring two goals in an 8–0 victory at the London Stadium, in which fellow debutants Conor Coventry and Joe Powell also featured. Three days later, Diangana made his first Premier League appearance, coming on as a 93rd minute substitute for Felipe Anderson in a 3–1 home victory against Manchester United.

On Saturday Diangana was introduced as a 40th substitute for the injured Yarmolenko who ruptured his archilles tendon.

Full Poll results:  830 votes: Diangana 402 (48.43%) Snodgrass 212 (25.54%) Antonio 100 (12.05%) Hernandez 72 (8.67%) Carroll 21 (2.53%) Wilshere 16 (1.93%) Perez 7 (0.84%)

Is it just me who thinks we’ve massively overhyped him so far?
He defintely has potential and I hope he makes it but I don’t think he has looked comfortable when playing yet in the prem so far, not sure he done that much against tottenham either?
Very glad that pellegrini is giving youth a shot though!

The only thing that interests me is winning our next game … and future games . Staying in the Premiership instead of worrying about relegation . It is the same now as has been forever . 100milllion spent and a big profile Manager . We are no better off . Two points off the relegation zone ….. with nothing to show after loads of turmoil . We were nearer getting it right with Moyes in all honesty . Apart from looking better what has changed ? ,, nothing.
Still losing to teams we think we should beat !!! . We are now thinking about getting out of the relegation zone instead of challenging for a top 6 or 8 finish . This is turning into a farce and if we don’t get it right soon it’s going to be a disaster . I fancy West Ham to survive this season as a Premiership team , but apart from that nothing special . Just as always making up the numbers . Big ideas with no real difference to previous seasons . And I mean since 1964 . Or 1953 or 1923 . It is now beyond any joke you can tell . Now 67 years old and still waiting . So clever remarks ain’t gonna work . Yeh I’m old and admit it without any shame because I’ve seen it all ,,, or at least more than most .
We sacked Pardew for no good reason . We sacked Alladyce for no good reason . We sacked Moyes for no good reason . ( Bilic doesn’t even get into my thinking ) . Now we have Pelligrini who is not proving anything worth talking about except having to justify our recent sighnings . Should we have stood by Moyes and given him the budget to sign new players ?
In my view yes we should have done …. but it’s tooo late now . Do I trust Pelligrini?
Yes , but it’s taking forever to get things sorted . I think Moyes had it sorted .
So , the long and short of it is we need to support our New very expensive Manager and hope he gets it sorted . My choice was Moyes . Pelligrini has yet to demonstrate his credentials . But as a fan I must support him untill things get really out of hand .
