Grady Diangana has signed a new six year contract with the club just 24 hours after Claret and Hugh revealed talks were underway.

The new deal will keep Grady at the club until 2025 and he now joins his former fellow under 23 captain Declan Rice in committing to the club long term.

The youngster has been with the Hammers since he was 10 year old and tied up his new deal quickly such is his enthusiasm to remain at the club.

CandH revealed the news that he was likely to agree terms last night and it’s great news for the fans who needed a boost after the problems currently surrounding Marko Arnautovic’s apparent desire to move away as quiickly as possible.

Grady has made 15 appearances so far this season and his deal has boosted his basic pay considerebly and is believed to contain appearance bonuses and other clauses.

Diangana, who joined West Ham as a ten-year old, is now looking forward to continuing his development in the Claret and Blue, having made 15 first team appearances since his senior debut in September.

Commenting on his new deal to www.whufc.com the player said:  “I am very excited to know that my future is here for the next six years. I’m really excited to show the world and the fans at London Stadium what I can do.

“It’s a challenge. I want to prove to everyone what I can do. I want to show everyone what I can do and why I deserve to be here.

“I’m very grateful to everyone in the Academy, to every manager and all my team-mates that I’ve played with since I’ve been here. It’s really a journey because you get the highs and you get some lows, but all in all it makes you become a better player and a better person.”

Joint-Chairman David Sullivan said: “It’s great to see another product of the Academy making it into the first team and committing their future to the club for such a long time.”

Manager Manuel Pellegrini said “I am delighted that Grady has signed a new long-term contract and secured his future with West Ham United.

“He has made great progress since the beginning of the season and deserves the opportunity he has been given. As I have said previously, I have trust in Grady because he is a clever, intelligent player who always has a good solution with the ball
