Dimi: “My future is here for many years”

|

Dimi Payet has sent a brilliant tweet assuring the fans that he wants to stay at our club for many years.

Fair play to West Ham and its media department it has moved quickly to quash rumours of unrest surrounding the player.

After being hit by stories in the Fleet Street’s gutter press suggesting that Manchester United and Chelsea were interested, the club posted an official statement declaring that they had in fact initiated talks for a new deal with Dimi!

And the player was quick to follow up declaring: “I say & I repeat I’m proud to wear the shirt of west ham My future is here and I hope for many years .

So we can now call that one a day despite some fans suggesting it’s odd that his little slump in form coincided with the stories of a possible move emerging.

That is just silly and as ClaretandHugh has reported since the start of the story, Payet won’t be going anywhere – a fact which he has brilliantly confirmed this morning.

Its nice to have Dimi make a statement like that. Im not surprised having seen that emotional video clip where you can see there is a real affection for the club and fans. As to his slight drop in form recently, I put that down to general bad play from the team. For Dimi to be his brilliant self he needs the rest of the team to do their bit and be at their best to.

I think he has lost it a bit because of the closer marking and constant fouls he is receiving. He will soon climb above that phase to rule again. It would be nice to have Lanzini back to help him though.

when we bought him, his form was described as erratic, otherwise he probably would of been nearer £20m and not £10m, and gone somewhere else. When he has a bad day, someone else will have to man up and produce the goods.
Or should I say “Manu” up 🙂

Well that seems fair enough , lets hope that’s the end of this .We have the most crucial stage of the season to come , the run in , and hopefully a top 8 finish at worst and top six finish if we can find some form again soon !

The Sun’s Andrew Dillon should check his sources before writing such obvious b/s. must be a quiet news day. That or people are starting to get a bit concerned that “little old West Ham ” are getting a bit too big for their football boots. What a mug.

£38m from a Chinese club?? Any truth to this? Or is it Liverpool tatics to unsettle him?

  • mooro66uk says:

They are getting worried poor things. This is a good sign that people are starting to take us seriously. “Little old West Ham” look a bit of a threat in the future. Lets try to disrupt them. The so called big clubs may mock but look at what we’ve already done to them this season. COYI X

If the 38 million is confirmed as a real offer we should consider it…
