Doubts growing over Irons midfielder

|

SongAlex Song’s chances of joining the Irons on a permanent deal are receding.

With the Hammers so strong in the midfield area, Song’s lack of form and apparent fitness is counting strongly against him with each successive match.

The Hammers were very keen to give the player every chance of claiming a long term deal at the end of the season by signing him to a loan deal whilst still injured but he has so far been unable to find any real form.

It’s come as a massive disappointment to club insiders one of who told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “It’s not happening at the moment for him but he’s a class player at his best

“There is time for him to show us that he can get back to the form of which we know he is capable. There are 18 games left plus FA Cup ties. There’s time but it needs to start happening soon.”

With the central midfield holding role we have Obiang, Kayoute and Noble. We also have some very talented youngster coming through (Poyet and Oxford). I would be very suprised if were to buy Song at the end of the year and pay his high wage demands.
Money could be used else where.

Not value for money and age against him,the 2 Daves nearly pulled the plug at the beginning of the season,
    Him and Jenks bye bye
Moses a possible if Chelski get realistic over the price £8 million max,

When he is fit he gives us something different playing effectively as a sweeper in front of the back 4 if that makes sense, hopefully he can sort his fitness out, I mentioned before the start of the season that instead of big money on Song we should have gone for N’Golo Kante at 3.5 mill and less wages, he is a phenomenal midfielder and would have been huge for us as he is for Leicester. Song does have class and we don’t have anyone else that can do what he does so who knows if he can get 100% fit he may yet have a big part to play before the end of the season.
