Gold’s man of match – the fans respond

|

pedroDavid Gold named Pedro Obiang as his man of the match against Wolves on Saturday but claimed he could find no one who agreed with him.

So we put the point to ClaretandHugh’s forum and Facebook Group members at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/.

Here’s how they responded.

O Agree with David Gold. I thought Pedro Obiang had a good game.

O Not a surprise at all. Best player out there
O Obiang is an interesting one. Looked to me like a player that could go on improving if given more match time. Maybe yet another diamond in our squad. I saw Payet live. Everything is good with me
Obiang for me! Goal apart Jellyfish was rubbish same as Song and Jenks

O Obiang was fantastic. Won the ball back, always looked for a forward pass if one was on and had a couple of attempts on goal too. Easy choice for MotM.

O I was at the match too and Obiang looked head and shoulders above the rest. Jenkinson looked as though he’d rather be anywhere else but on the pitch although I didn’t think he had a terrible game and had one terrific shot on goal.
O Obiang looks quality, I am surprised he has not had more game time, he just needs match practice to sharpen up then hopefully like Antonio he will secure a place, he is also another goal scoring midfielder with a huge engine
