Lingard hopes hit near zero

Jesse Lingard’s future at West Ham look to have hit near zero.

For were he to be able to take part in any of the club’s European matches he would have needed to have signed a contract with the Irons by now and that hasn’t happened.

The European deadline for players who would be available to play in the Europa League games had to be signed by yesterday (Mon) and as yet the former Manchester United midfielder has not been taken on board at the club

And when we checked with our main insider at the London Stadium we were told that he definitely had not agreed a deal despite reports that David Moyes had been impressed with his efforts in training.

Lingard rejected the opportunity of signing for the Hammers following a loan period with us and spent a very average season at Nottingham Forest instead.

And as things stand it looks as though that may have been his last opportunity of joining us.
