Everton nab West Ham 23 goal striker target

|

onyekuru-new-goal-joy-800It appears that Everton are close to signing Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru in a £7m deal from KAS Eupen.

The former West Ham striker target scored 23 goals for the Belgian top-flight club last season and has been linked with Arsenal and other clubs throughout Europe.

However,  reports claim today that the player undertook a medical with Everton on Monday and has agreed personal terms.

Onyekuru is expected to be loaned to Anderlecht for the next 12 months to continue his development in Belgium. Onyekuru made his senior debut for Nigeria in the 3-0 friendly win over Togo in June.

Earlier this month a Hammers insider admitted:“He’s just one of many players we are possibly looking at.”

adding: “We are not sure the player can make the jump to the Premier League.”

We understand that Onyekuru was never at the top of West Ham’s striker target list and they won’t lose any sleep in losing out to Everton as they had doubts.

When you’re “linked” with a player with real flair, you get your hopes up.
    My mistake.

An absolute disgrace We were in for this guy weeks ago. His young, fast and scored 26 goals last year. Why the hell didn’t we just buy him weeks ago.
I’m loosing all faith in the board and our ability to buy any of our targets, unless their old, over the hill and we pay a fortune which we never get back. Looks like another desperate season.

You know f@ck all about how long we have been in for him or how seriously we wanted or needed him.Why do you saps always mouth off based on gossip and very little more than that.

  • essexirons says:

    and we’re off…..

    • Travis says:

You cant make it up can you essexiron. The papers do all the talking, the club have said nothing but according the wise ones amongst us we have been after him for a month. To say some of our fans are embaressing is a f@cking understatement.

Suspect our other 3 targets will go the same way and not join West Ham. Our transfer business is just so obvious to anybody. So much for the board’s promise of the London Stadium being a great attraction for players. We seem to be struggling to get season tickets to renew so why the hell should a half decent player want to join us. Ley’s hope a billionaire comes in and gives the fans deserve. The current owners are becoming to look a bit of a joke.

  • Everton have bought him for the future. He can’t get a work permit for the UK so will continue to play in Belgium next season on a season loan deal.

We need a striker for now. I can understand why we passed.

The only people who will be gutted are the Nigerian sites and our press because they wont be able to write bullshyte about this story anymore.Still if some of you want to believe everything you have read for the last month good luck to ya 😁

West Ham aren’t going to sign a £9m name player and then loan him out for a season; if they had, imagine the flak they would have taken. Everton have thrown money around on Pickford (£30m for a relegated keeper? Really?) and Klassen from Ajax (£24m) on the assumption Ross Barkley will fetch that much back. But now he has to fetch £50m or Everton are out on a limb. What if he doesn’t go, or no one offers more than, say, £25m for him? Dangerous or brave? Maybe – just maybe Sullivan isn’t the mug here.

    • Stan The Man says:

I think one of their owners has thrown a large amount in their transfer kitty demon.but how much that was done on the basis of cash coming back from lukaku and barkley who knows.

    • English says:

I think that Russian shareholder at Arsenal is bankrolling Everton. My mates a blue and he reckons he paid £75m to sponsor their training ground.

The thing i find most embarrassing about the irrational tantrums by fans is that other websites pick up on it and then run stories along the lines of ‘Outraged Hammers Fan as they miss out on Nigerian’ which quote some of the tantrum tweets and comments made.It makes my toes curl reading it thinking of opposition fans laughing at these outbursts.
I just hope upon hope they realise we are not all lunatics lol

  • Hammer64 says:

Dunno what all the fuss is about… We have fought off all the attempts that have probably been made prize AC & Sakho away. Neither of them has missed a game for nearly two months now so they are obviously big back to peak fitness. Just wait for the flood of goals they will soon be scoring.

Calm down everyone. There will be plenty of time to get stressed & upset once the season starts. Just use this time to dream about what might happen & let all this transfer rubbish sail over your heads. What will be will be & all that..
