Everything that needs to happen for Europe

|

So here we can check out precisely who has to do what on this final day of the season to ensure Euro qualification.

It’s hardly a confused scenario as far as the Irons are concerned but it’s worth reminding ourselves what may be in store for three London clubs looking for Europa league competition next season.

The Irons too that massive step towards the Europa League with a true battling performance against Sam Allardyce and then listen as he made his predictable outburst against final goalscorer Mikey Antonio.

A point will make things certain but even that may not be necessary if results go for them elsewhere.

That 2-1 home defeat for Spurs against Villa left us in the best possible position to crown our marvelous season and the Spuds with it all to do.

Arsenal and Everton both remain in the mix ensuring that this afternoon represents a perfect end of season.

Mikel Arteta’s Gooners have to win and hope their north London rivals and The Toffees  falter to clinch a Conference League spot.

Arsenal in contention for 7th. Everton must win and Hammers lose with aggregated goal difference on 9 in Evertons favour for 6th (8 goals different, but we have 12 goals more scored so equal goal difference will se us through. Leicester will play hardball and do eveeything in their power to reach CL (Liverpool 3 pts and 4 goals ahead), so hopefully Spurs won’t win today and West Ham on 6th regardless of our result. I hope we go out with attacking minded confidence, but I fear the situation, pressure and fans in the stadium might be an overwhelming experience for the boys. I’m sure Moyes wants to play confident and attacking, but hope the boys don’t get nerveous and try to safe it
