Exit speculation increases on Irons defender

|

Just to reassure you that we can safely dismiss a new report in the national press that both Arsenal and Everton are considering moves for Reece Oxford.

The story has surfaced again this morning just days after our own insiders explained  last week that neither club had been scouting the central defender.

We checked that out after Everton were linked with him and were told that the likes of Man U, Leicester and one or two others had taken a look but that The Toffees had applied for no tickets to Under 23s games.

One report in The Mirror insists this morning that “Arsenal might consider making a move now or waiting until the summer while Everton have gained a reputation for bringing through young players and could benefit from Oxford’s ability to play both in defence or at the base of midfield.”

If that’s the case it will have to be a very late move because there has been  no approach from either at this stage.
