Fans deliver verdict on neutral grounds end to season

|

Hammers fans are heavily opposed to ending the Premier League season by playing the remaining games on neutral grounds.

The League’s bosses are proposing that as a solution to a season crippled by the global health situation but Irons fans don’t want anything to do with it.

Grounds suggested include Wembley, Twickenham and a group of unnamed League stadiums but  with the French, League and Dutch competitions having been cancelled  the same fate looks set to hit the PL.

In the meantime the fans voting in a CandH poll have cast 823 votes (89.36pc) against the neutral ground plan with just 98 (10.64 per cent ) going the other way.
