Fans united – He MUST go!

|
The fans are all but unanimous – Pellegrini and his staff must go!
The embarrassing defeat by Spurs is the last straw and here’s what a selection of supporters had to say on the ClaretandHugh website.
  • Was totally disgusted with today’s performance. You can count on one hand how many 50 -50 balls we won . Taxi for Pellegrini
  • Pellegrini must go, Any team can have a bad run of results & fans can accept that, however, what the fans can’t accept is a team that looks like it isn’t even trying ans a manager who has no idea why!!
  • Please not Rafa, we need progression not another dinosaur with best days behind… Gerrard tick, Eddie Howe tick..I’d Even rather Billic than another Jurassic.
  • Pelle should go . We are a club with array of gifted technical players mainly in midfield positions, but a manager of Pelle’s experiance should know that you need to build from the back and this he has not done. Fabianski is a great loss but our other options at goalkeeper and back four are championship standard which is where we will end up if the board don’t act.
  • We are at the point of no return if the board don’t act now and replace Pellergrini and his back room staff .is it not possible to get Terry Wesley or even our current u23 manager to take charge and try to stop the rot.pay them offDave x2 and get shot of before its too late.
  • Needs to go ASAP. Today was make or break. If he can’t motivate against Spurs then who can he motivate us  against? We’ve all seen his boring monotone interviews.

Pellegrini was a top manager at city cos of 1 thing he had money to spend I remember when fat Sam wouldn’t change our formation saying fans were deluded same thing is happening again with Pellegrini wot is it he cant see but 50 odd thousand fans can we are in deep trouble no passion no fight no heart iam in my sixties now I remember spurs games from yrs gone by every player was up 4 it now when we go a goal down their heads all drop and that’s 4 Roberto if hes a goalkeeper I eat my hat is Martin that bad he wont give him a game wow remember Roberto was a free transfer if he is that gr8 why didn’t a top European club take him reason we got him and Martin both were free transfers my opinion is Pellegrini not only as he lost the plot and got to go before it’s to late he as lost the changing room even our skipper is running out of answers so I beg the owners to cut their losses and get Pellegrini out before it’s to late sry people rant over

  • Pellegrini MUST Go NOW AND BRING IN BENITEZ

  • Bucks Hammer says:

Bye bye Pellers and as a previous poster has stated we need a younger guy in charge
Plus the excuse we have in goal is the worst I have ever seen between the sticks at our club, come back Alan Mcnightmare all is forgiven

Thought this might be about Sullivan then I realised what site I was reading.

What a miserable Saturday, beforehand everyone was saying 4-0, 3-0 all to Spurs, I wasn’t so pessimistic I thought we’d only lose 2-0! 😎

That first flap of Roberto had everybody looking at each other, we all couldn’t believe he’d done that – Phil Parkes is right, he does look like an outfield Player whose picked the short straw and been forced to take the green jersey – what a disaster! 😳

But, let’s step back to the Team selection – we knew beforehand that Wilshere had another ‘sicknote’ so there was no surprise there, but where was Masuaku – not even on the Bench. There’s something going on here that we’re not being told about – Conspiracy Theory Number 1! 🤨

The other thing I’d like to mention is the Substitution of Diop. When Diop got booked the guy who sits next to me immediately said ‘That’s him Suspended for the Chelsea game!’ – so to protect him from the Red Card him being dragged wasn’t a surprise – but Rice into the Back Four and Sanchez – I just didn’t get it, surely Balbuena will play against Chelsea – I’ll say it again – I just didn’t get it! 🤯

Finally, a funny thing that happened to me on the way to the Ground – we were going up the Escalator at Stratford Station when a guy with a strong German accent says ‘Iz zis the way to the Football’ – several of us replied ’just follow the crowd’. The German then says ‘How far is it to the Stadium?’ – me being eager to please, immediately pipe up with ‘About a mile or so!’ – the German then asks ‘Is there a Shuttle-bus?’ – cue general mirth all round! 😀

Well it amused me anyway! 😏

Can’t argue with Bob spice but disagree that Benitez isn’t the answer as I think he is for two seasons until a younger coach pops along. Howe I like but failed at Burnley and is only in his comfort zone at a small club small supporters like Bournemouth have. His the only reason they stay up and I’m not sure he would know the value of players around the world and if players would want to come and play for an unknown quantity. Benitez has a good cv and gets a team playing so given money too would imo be a great plus for a better future for our club .

Clueless . He is deluded . Said we were in the game for first 25 mins … We were NEVER in the game . . Anderson ,Noble ,The Ukranian were all passengers . In first 20 mins Noble was caught in possession 3 times in own half and gave the ball away 5 times . FACT . Loyal yes but no longer good enough . He contributed not one tackle or interception that helped his defence . Glaring weakness . Snoddy ran his legs off , Ogbona was solid , Rice immense but rest didn’t try or are not good enough or in some cases BOTH . Haven’t mentioned the keeper cos we are talking about footballers and this guy does not qualify . Martin must be terrible if he can’t get a game . Bring back Trott .. he must be a better bet . Bottom 3 on Xmas day if Pelli stays .

  • Michael Miller says:

The two names I’ve seen being mentioned this morning are Chris Hughton and Sean Dyche – I’d like either of them. You’d get hard work and organisation from both and that is what we’re missing at the moment. There are too many of our players just floating about, avoiding the ball and nicking a living. The prime suspects for this are Yarmolenko and Anderson but I think you can add Haller to that list, he’s probably got fed up being isolated and given no support and has probably just given up – I wouldn’t blame him, but his effort yesterday was weak! 🤨

Anyway, getting back to Hughton and Dyche, Hughton is undoubtedly a good Manager and did good jobs at Newcastle and Brighton, but during his last days at Brighton he looked fed up, downcast and disillusioned – it will take him a lot to get over the disappointment of the way his reign at Brighton ended! 🤨

Sean Dyche on the other hand is a belligerent personality, who has got Burnley playing good stuff on a limited budget. He also organises his Teams well, but maybe lacks the more flamboyant attacking instincts of other Candidates. But what you will get is hard work, organisation and Team spirit. If we could prise him away from Burnley, my vote would be for him – but the offer would have to be attractive and he would demand a free hand, and a reasonable budget – which is always a stumbling block with our Owners! 🤔

  • Kevin Sugrue says:

Pellegrini is a spent force. We dragged him out of retirement in China which is why we should not go for Benitez. Duchess would not suit us. We need a young ambitious manager who is strong on discipline. Gerrard would fit the bill. Don’t let Sullivan choose. Give the task to Brooking or someone like him who knows football.

    • Michael Miller says:

      Duchess? 🤔

    • Hollywood Hammer says:

I wish Brooking would,But He has said He isn’t interested.I remember when He won us 5 games in a row.Gerrard also would be good. But Poch would be the #1 candidate

  • Hollywood Hammer says:

If we fall into the bottom 3,We will need fat Sam to save us. Pelle should have been fired 4 games ago.Poch is the only manager we need. All the other contenders will not improve things.Poch was not given transfer funds for 2 seasons and did amazing things at Tottenham.Levy is not good as far as that goes.If Mourinho doesn’t get funds,he won’t stay either. At least our owners are providing funds.I think Poch could do amazing things for us too.
