Fed up Hammer Johnson eyes Dutch Move

West Ham academy graduate Ben Johnson is on the wanted list of Dutch club Feyenoord. While it had been reported that Johnson was on the wish list of London rivals Crystal Palace, it now appears that the Eredivisie club has entered the bidding.

The latest development sees the 24-year-old’s contract set to expire this July, and negotiations for an extension hitting a deadlock. Johnson finds himself at the centre of a transfer saga that could potentially see him leaving the London club for a new challenge.

Johnson is believed to want £50,000 per week to sign a new deal with West Ham. However, it is also understood that the defender would like a realistic chance at first-team football.

Johnson did enjoy something of a purple patch during December and January of this season. Unfortunately, his good performances were not enough to convince David Moyes to give him regular first-team starts.
