Forest v Irons on live TV

|

The Irons  third round FA Cup tie with Nottingham Forest will be shown on live TV!

The Hammers trip to the City Ground on January 5 has a giant killing ‘feel’ to it a far as the TV bosses are concerned no doubt.

The two clubs have met in the FA Cup on five occasions previously, with West Ham winning four of those ties.

But the one defeat was in the most important of the five in the semi final of 1991 when Tony Gale was sent off for a ‘nothing’ challenge before to louder of louder chants of “Billy Bonds’ claret and blue army” they sunk to a 4-0 defeat.

But on that day the world agreed the Hammers  had the proudest and loudest fans in the world.

To be inside Villa Park on that day was to be part of one of the most incredible fan experiences of all time.
