Former Hammers boss keen on team’s prospects

|

Former Hammers boss Alan Pardew is convinced the Hammers are perfectly safe from relegation this season.

With nine games gone and only seven points on the board the club’s survival prospects would normally be under keen examination.

But  not this season it seems and that is down to displays that have given reason for much encouragement despite a couple of 1-0 back to back defeats.

The former Hammers boss appears to hold the same view as most and speaking to Goals on Sunday he said: “They’ve certainly got the individuals to stay in the Premier League.

“No matter how good you are as a team, you need individuals who are going to win games for you out of nothing. Arnautovic, of course, is the main player at West Ham who can do that.

“So I have no issues with West Ham being involved in a relegation scrap. They’re going to be fine. It’s just going to be how good they gel to climb up the league.”

Looking better than last season. We have had probably the hardest set of opening fixtures I can remember in 40 years and apart from Liverpool nobody has played us off the park.Looking at Palace today in comparison to make an early season report and they have only played Liverpool out of the big boys and they are 1 point better off.
