Former wayward Hammer gets international call

|
Former Hammer Ravel Morrison has received a call-up to the Jamaica national squad.

TalkSPORT reports the 27-year-old has been on the radar of the ‘Reggae Boyz’ for a while but has now been selected for the squad for the November internationals.

Morrison is currently playing for Dutch club ADO Den Haag

The ultra-talented Morrison had the world at his feet but such were the personality problems that even Sir Alex Ferguson found him impossible to handle and sold him to us

Things were little better at Upton Park and he played just 15 games in three years scoring three goals including a magnificent effort at spurs.

But even hardman Sam Allardyce found him too much to handle and he finally walked away to join Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff City on loan before moving to Lazio.

Things got no better there and  he was again loaned out  before finally  completing his wandering at Ostersund, Shefield United on loan Middlesbrough and now ADO Den Haag,

In total he has played a total of 104 games in 10 years at his various clubs – a shocking reminder of his wasted talent -but despite it all he now has the chance to make a late impact at international level for the Jamaicans.

He played for England Under-16s, 17s, 18s and 21s but never made it into the full international squad.

  • Jersey Hammer says:

The lad is lucky to have been given so many chances. If he can’t take that as a sign he doesn’t deserve to be given more! Work hard and be the man you can be rather than fall back with the scumbags in your life son!

  • Broll says:

    Never really missed him, honestly.
