Fredericks: Hard words have been spoken

|

Ryan Fredericks has revealed how some very hard words were spoken in the Hammers dressing room after the devastating Wolves defeat and explained that the squad has gone over everything on the training ground.

And he added:  “Some hard truths were spoken after the Wolves game and everyone wants to do the best for the club and the best for themselves.

“We spoke about it in the dressing room afterwards that that kind of performance was unacceptable.

Speaking to the official site he said: “We’ve been working hard over the international break and we’re confident of a much better performance and hopefully a better result on Sunday.

“We’ve gone over the fundamentals of how we want to attack and how we want to defend and done a lot of fitness-based stuff because it’s important to keep fitness levels high and improve on them as well.

We’ve just gone over all the stuff the gaffer wants from us and hopefully we can take it into the game. There is no thought of letting things go.

“Nobody goes onto the pitch and purposely plays badly or to lose the game. We’re all doing our best to put things right.

“We’re all a motivated bunch and want to kick on and do well for this club. The plans the club had at the start of the season, we expected things to go better than this and for us to be higher up the table, so it’s up to us all to work hard and put things right on the pitch.”

“There have been spells in every game where we’ve dominated but it just hasn’t been consistent enough on our part to keep it up for 90 minutes.

“We’ve had a good half here and a good half there, so now we just need to go into the Everton game and put in a performance for the whole 90 minutes.

“Every game is going to be tough, as the teams up the top are going to be confident and flying and the teams down the bottom are going to be grafting to pick up three points, so it doesn’t really matter where we go, we’ve just got to play our game, do our stuff on the pitch and go for the three points.”

It would certainly be a novelty . But just remember , Toffees can be sticky . It may be the best time to play Everton and our best chance to show some determination . After such awful recent displays I expect us to pull our socks up and actually Win three points . One will not be enough to put a foot on the ladder .

Show it on the pitch or it’s just words. Come on your Irons!

When are these players going to realise that we are all thoroughly sick of the platitudes and inane comments?

We just want to see their efforts where it matters, on the pitch.

Here I actually have some sympathy for the players – the official site asks them for an interview and they are really on a hiding to nothing

That said Sunday is crucial – I’ll be nervously glued to the box and a big up to the supporters making the trip to Merseyside

I really feel that we are going to click really soon , i believe in Pelligrni and his style of play historically . If the team can stick with it and believe it will work. I just have this gut feeling we’re gonna come good . Let’s get behind them. COYI ⚒
