West Ham are tonight reported as having made the hoped for  breakthrough in talks to sign Nice left back Timothée Kolodziejczak.

French sources are reporting a deal is almost done at a fee which could add up to £6 million with bonuses..

Get French Football News says Nice have agreed a fee with the Hammers on a day which saw plenty of twists and turns.

ClaretandHugh had revealed this morning that the meeting between the two clubs was to be held.

And later we reported the player had gone through a London medical assessment at Holly House Hospital despite a deal not being finalised.

Earlier this evening there were still doubts after it emerged the French club was looking for a deal of around £9 million but according to the GFFN unconfirmed report a breakthrough has been achieved.

A source had told ClaretandHugh earlier: “We will take it as far as we can but there comes a point when a decision has to be made. However, we continue to hope for a breakthrough.”

However GFFN’s report in the last few minutes says: “Whether or not final details have been settled upon today is undisclosed at the time of writing.

“Small details to fix, but the deal is all but done for a fee of €4m plus €2m eventual bonuses.”
