I must admit I’m nervous as the Irons head for Fulham this evening.
West Ham’s confidence is sky high after three wins on the bounce while Fulham are showing relegation form.
But in my West Ham 50 year experience that means we are odds-on to get a disappointing result.
With no Arnautovic or Perez through injury, a non match fit Andy Carroll and Hernandez with just one day of training under his belt this week, we appear to be facing a striker crisis this weekend.
I am sure Pellegrini will be forced into risking Carroll and Hernandez but I would be surprised if both play the full 90 minutes.
By nature I am born optimist but West Ham grinds you down over the years and pessimism becomes part of the old psyche at times like this.
I hope I am proved wrong by 8pm tonight and will forced to eat my words after Anderson celebrates his first West Ham hat trick after a 3-0 away win.
Bookies make West Ham the 7/5 favourites for the win, Fulham are 2/1 for a home win while the draw is a 5/2 chance.
The Hammers are 22/1 for a 3-0 win and Anderson is 150/1 for a Hat trick with William Hill
A £1 double would land £3,450 for that result!
Although a bit late strangely I didn’t feel nervous before the game or during it. It’s starting to feel like the Payet season isn’t it
