West Ham should have been 2-1 up against Chelsea at the London Stadium at half time.
Tomas Soucek scored two good goals but the first one was ruled null and void by VAR.
The Hammers don’t seem to catch a break with referee Jon Moss spending three and a half minutes at Stockley Park before ruling out the goal much to David Moues disgust.
Commentators on Sky Sports were also surprised at the decision which they disagreed with.
Michail Antonio was in an off-side position but he was not interfering with play or blocking the Chelsea goalkeepers vision. Former Hammer James Collins in the Sky studio was lost for words saying the goal should have stood adding that if anything Antonio on the floor helped Chelsea buy blocking half the goal.
Another former Hammer Carlton Cole on Sky’s watch-a-long was equally furious shouting Antonio is on the floor, what is he supposed to do?
Just a few minutes after the wrongly disallowed goal, Issa Diop concedes a penalty which Chelsea convert to take the lead.
Justice was served on deep in injury time before half time as Tomas Soucek rose hight to nod in to get his second goal of the first half.
So officially the scoreline at Half time was 1-1 but it should be 2-1 to the Hammers and -1 to VAR and Jon Moss
Bring on the second half!
COYI
That decision was a disgrace
That **** Moss should not be allowed anywhere near a game of football!
VAR is ruining our fine game.
