Skipper Mark Noble is missing tonight at the London Stadium with a slight hamstring injury.
David Moyes has made two changes with Manuel Lanzini replacing the injured Mark Noble and Angelo Ogbonna returning from injury to replace Fabian Balbuena in the centre of defence to face Frank Lampard’s Chelsea tonight.
The rest of the West Ham team remains the same that started against Spurs with Declan Rice taking the captains armband and Felipe Anderson remaining dropped on the bench.
West Ham United Starting XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice (c), Soucek, Fornals, Lanzini, Bowen, Antonio
Subs: Randolph (GK), Johnson, Balbuena, Wilshere, Lewis, Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson, Xande Silva, Ajeti
The Hammers are being helped tonight with fellow strugglers Bournemouth losing 4-1 to Newcastle and Norwich also losing 4-0 to Arsenal.
Watford already lost to Southampton 3-1 on Sunday.
Bournemouth drops down to 19th place with a goal difference of -24 which is six worse than the Hammers, Villa remains on the same points as West Ham with a -24 goal difference five worse than the Irons. West Ham can afford to lose 4-0 to Chelsea tonight and would still stay out of the relegation zone.
Just seen team, cannot believe he has done two things, picked Fredericks yet again, is Moyes blind ! Secondly once again one up top. Terrible negative football yet again and wrong formation but still hoping for a positive result. I emphasis hoping with this clown in charge.
First 10 min and that’s exactly why Antonio is not a forward ..clean through and cant hit target from 8 yards 🤬
I’m eating my words .Antonio had a blinder just wish he could finish better …so did team ,,great fight ..well done brilliant
