Haller among Hammers highest earners

|

Record signing Seb Haller could be on his way to earning a king’s ransom at West Ham this season.

Reports – repeated here – that the French striker is on a wage of £70k a week -are incorrect and we understand that he and his negotiating team agreed he would replace Marko Arnautovic on much the same wages as the Austrian – believed to be around £110k a week.

However, that is close to eight times his basic salary at Eintracht Frankfurt where figures released by  https://www.capology.com/club/eintracht-frankfurt/salaries claim he was on €15,288 a week.

And on top of his basic salary at the London Stadium he will also receive an undisclosed, but presumably substantial bonus payments, both for appearances and goals.

Our own estimate is that should he appear in every Premier League game and score 15 goals, his earnings season on season could be closer to £6m.

We were told by sources  close to the deal: “The figure of £70k is wrong. He will be among the club’s highest earners and closer to the terms Arnautovic was on plus the usual goals and appearance add ons.”

And should he fire the club into the top six or seven this season he will be seen as being worth every penny.
