Haller looks forward and knows what he must do

|

Sebastian Haller has a job to do and he knows it.

Thus far – in a seriously anxious season – he has managed seven goals – several more will be required from him and others to ensure the safety we crave.

With three seriously encouraging performances behind us – but only the one win – hw jows as well as all the others that the sort of finishing we saw against Southampton will be entirely criticial.

He has a big part to play of course admitting he should have taken the chances that fell to him at Emirates Stadium.

He is deeply aware that with nine games to play, the centre forward knows the Hammers cannot afford to be as wasteful going forward if they are going to stay up.

Wolves, Spurs and Chelsea await and now is the time for the Hammers to catch fire in front of goal as they bid to ensure their Premier League survival and frankly nine points should be more than a dream!

Commenting at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/march/09-march/sebastien-haller-we-need-turn-performances-points he said:

“Everyone was great [on Saturday], everyone made a strong game, but the only thing is I should have scored, Mikey [Antonio] should have scored, and that’s the thing that we missed, I think, because everything we did was OK and if we’d scored earlier, everything in the game would have been different.

“That’s the thing – we missed again, again and again, and a goal was given by VAR, which is really frustrating, but we can say nothing because it is our fault.

“We need to get good performances and this is what we’ve done for the last couple of weeks but the thing is, now we are not about playing well, it is just about the points, so even if we play bad, we have to get three points. We need to do it and hopefully we can.”

Fair enough from Haller for holding his hands up there. I like him, he’s got a good head on his shoulders – although has a moody and disinterested look on his face sometimes….. Hopefully he can get his scoring boots on now. He’s got the ability

Wow, how incredibly insightful from Haller. Only thing is, WE ALL KNOW IT’S ABOUT THE POINTS!!! It’s always about the points, that’s what a league is, accumulate as many points as possible!!!

    What a team we support…
