Hammer assists sink Scots

Scotland were slow to react  just before half time after Grant Hanley heads a corner clear and Hammer Vladimir Coufal’s cross was met by the rising Patrik Schick, who gets up between Hanley and Liam Cooper to nod past David Marshall to make it one nil to the Czech Republic.

West Ham Czech mates Tomas Soucek and Vladimir were both starters at Hampden Park at 2 pm this afternoon as the Czech Republic faced Scotland in group D of the Euro 2020 Championships.

Soucek and Coufal face Croatia this Friday again at Hampden Park in Scotland before facing England and Declan Rice on Tuesday 22nd June at Wembley Stadium.

Coufal’s stats for the first half:  100% aerial duels won 100% successful take-ons 85% pass accuracy 2/3 crosses completed 2 chances created 2 clearances 1 assist.

In the second half it was the turn of Tomas Soucek to provide the assist to Patrik Schick to make it 2-0 which game finished on at full time.
