Pearce accuses journo of delusion over Soucek

|

Fears in his homeland that Tomas Soucek will be too fatigued to play a fully effective part in the Euro Championships were proved conclusively wrong this afternoon.

The Hammers midfielder was in his usual dominant form against Scotland  – despite looking the better team for much of the match – were finally well beaten by Tomas and Co.

As reported earlier here Vladi Coufal delivered a great assist for the second Czech goal and both he and the defensive midfielder were highly impressive throughout.

And they demonstrated that the side will have more than enough to give England a real test next Tuesday as they went top of Group D on goal difference above England.

Earlier in the day ahead of the game Stuart Pearce had rubbished a suggestion that Tomas was tired at the end of a long season with the Hammers and was proved correct during the game,

Psycho said: ““A Czech journalist has said their team looks tired, he mentioned Soucek looks like he’s had a long season,”

“You are deluded Soucek and Coufal are fresh as a daisy, I can absolutely assure you of that.”
