Hammer departure talk now less than a whisper

Big speculation that West Ham may be ready to listen to offers forĀ  Michail Antonio next month -notably from Crystal Palace – are now very much on the wane.

And that’s a tribute to Michail who is at last showing the new boss what he has got and rapidly returning to the fitness levels for which he was noteworthy when at his very best.

He of course scored a fine goal at the weekend and it couldn’t have been more timely after the manager had spoken of him having to bury his chances.

It also came after Pelle had claimed he wasn’t really a striker which may have given the former Hammer of the Year even more of an incentive.

Meanwhile CandH was hearing stories from behind the scenes that the real issue was the manager had a preference for passing players and that Antonio didn’t necessarily fit that style of play.

Now, however, he appears to be adding new stuff to his game under the boss as has been the case with Snoddy, Chicharito and others.

The talk of a move to Palace or elsewhere has now sunk to less than a whisper and that’s great for this lad still has more than enough to offer our squad.

good to hear. i was one of those, after last season and the beginning of this one, suggesting we sell him and get another RB. nice to be proven wrong sometimes, especially when it benefits the team. he’s obviously been training hard. played out of his skin in the last two games. keep it comin’, Michail and COYI !!!!
