Hammer resumes training

|

Manual Lanzini resumed full training with the first team squad on Monday and it is hoped he will be fit and available for selection for inclusion in the match day squad at the weekend.

Lanzini has been missing from the match day squad for two games against Wolves and Leicester City after picking up a knock in training.

The Argentinean has made 13 Premier League appearances this season but in recent times has found himself down the pecking order and confined to the bench.

His last appearance came a month ago against Manchester United after he came on as a 62nd minute substitute.

Before that defeat it was a month before that game on 15th February when he started in a  3-0 victory over Sheffield United.

He may struggle to get many more minutes on the pitch this season without further injuries and he has been tipped a fringe player for possible sale this summer.

Great news! Lanzini will be a very useful player to call upon at the later stages of games when energy levels are dropping.
Even better news about Ogbonna, without doubt he has been our outstanding CB this season, for me he has to come straight into the starting eleven on the left side of three.

Make no mistake, this game against Newcastle is massive, if we can win it puts us third going into the Chelsea match. If Mags win, they are effectively safe from relegation!
